Goals of this program:

  • Foster social connection and a sense of community through shared musical experiences that encourage participation, empathy, and collaboration.

  • Support emotional expression and group cohesion by creating a safe, creative space for individuals to connect with themselves and others through music.

  • Enhance cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning using structured, goal-oriented activities that engage multiple areas of the brain and body.

  • Promote relaxation, self-awareness, and stress reduction through mindfulness-based musical techniques, rhythmic grounding, and guided musical meditation.

  • Encourage reminiscence and identity exploration for groups such as seniors, using familiar songs and musical story telling to evoke memory and meaning.

  • Adapt to diverse group needs, whether in schools, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospice, or community centers, ensuring sessions are culturally sensitive, age appropriate, and accessible.

  • Empower group members to participate actively in their own wellness journey through music, regardless of background, ability, or prior experience.
