Music has a way of reaching people like no other modality. I have seen music therapy ignite memories, spark meaningful conversations, and brighten a room with laughter. Having this therapeutic intervention at Fountain View has had an immediate and lasting impact on the participants, bringing more connection and happiness into our community.

Caleb has been a great support for our clients at Delta since June 2023. He has led meaningful one on ones and group sessions for our clients where he's helped brighten their lives through music. Caleb's impact on the Delta was far beyond just music, it helped foster relationships with clients who I had a hard time engaging.

Developmental Children
Music therapy creates powerful opportunities for children with developmental disabilities to grow and thrive. Through joyful and engaging musical experiences, children can develop essential skills, build resilience, and experience greater well-being.

Private Music Sessions
Music therapy supports holistic wellness in both group and private settings. In groups, it fosters connection and emotional expression, while private sessions address individual needs such as dementia, autism, mental health, or addiction.

Babies & Caregivers
Our Song Circle, led by Music Therapists, nurtures joy, emotional well-being, and early social connection in babies by using music to support positive emotions, gentle mood regulation, and meaningful shared experiences with caregivers.
"Music therapy is a discipline in which credentialed professionals use music purposefully within therapeutic relationships to support development, health, and well-being. Music therapists use music safely and ethically to address human needs within cognitive, communicative, emotional, musical, physical, social, and spiritual domains."
- Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT)
Our Approach
At Earthtones, we use music as a therapeutic tool to support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Through singing, movement, instrument play, and creative musical experiences, children are given meaningful ways to express themselves, even before words fully develop. Our sessions are designed to be engaging, structured, and responsive to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
In our Song Circle programs, caregivers and children experience music side by side. We sing, move, explore instruments, and share simple songs that quickly become part of your everyday life at home.
You’ll build connection with your child, with other families, and with a supportive community that celebrates each little milestone. We create a space where joy feels natural, where everyone belongs, and where music becomes a bridge that strengthens bonds for years to come.

About Us
When experiencing stress, anxiety or change, Music Therapy is a useful tool to empower one to face issues from the past, present or future & to develop coping strategies & skills to maintain balance in ones life.
Because MUSIC creates a deep imprint on our minds & souls, we can use it to stimulate our emotions, our cognition & our physicality. We use MUSIC to find moments of solitude & to express ourselves and to strengthen social ties with others from a very young age. A Music Therapist utilizes all this information while engaging their client in stimulating activities to help heal traumas, promote self-expression & sometimes just to have fun!
This is why MUSIC works as THERAPY

Meet our team

Caleb Gilman
Owner + Operator of ET - Music Therapist, MTA 1184
In addition to running my practice, working in Long-Term Care, Private Sector and with individuals, I have been a working musician for almost 20 years. I graduated from Humber College in 2011 and have travelled the world, playing guitar, singing, producing & performing in various groups. After going back to school for Music Therapy at Acadia University, I discovered that music can be used to do more than entertain; that it connects us, frees us from pain, and teaches about other perspectives. After completing an internship abroad with young adults on the Autism Spectrum, I returned to Toronto in 2019 and began Earthtones Music Therapy & Holistic Wellness to serve the community; specifically seniors, people with developmental needs, mental health struggles and fellow artists/musicians.
My approach is based on a background on a humanistic and client-centred, psychotherapy-based musical interventions. In using my musical knowledge, mindfulness and yogic approaches to wellness, and utilizing the basics of psychotherapy, goal based work, I aim to create deep connections with my clients and work with their care team or facility to provide the best service. I also use recording technology in my practice and know hundreds of songs in various styles.
My goal for Earthtones is to provide each client with comprehensive, complete and customized wellness plans, and to offer a wide range of holistic options. Each contractor is fully vetted: a member in good standing with their respective governing body and has completed background checks in order to protect the vulnerable populations we serve.
