MEET OUR TEAM

Caleb.png

Caleb Gilman

Owner + Operator of ET - Music Therapist, MTA 1184

In addition to running my practice, working in Long-Term Care, Private Sector and with individuals, I have been a working musician for almost 20 years. I graduated from Humber College in 2011 and have travelled the world, playing guitar, singing, producing & performing in various groups. After going back to school for Music Therapy at Acadia University, I discovered that music can be used to do more than entertain; that it connects us, frees us from pain, and teaches about other perspectives. After completing an internship abroad with young adults on the Autism Spectrum, I returned to Toronto in 2019 and began Earthtones Music Therapy & Holistic Wellness to serve the community; specifically seniors, people with developmental needs, mental health struggles and fellow artists/musicians.

My approach is based on a background on a humanistic and client-centred, psychotherapy-based musical interventions. In using my musical knowledge, mindfulness and yogic approaches to wellness, and utilizing the basics of psychotherapy, goal based work, I aim to create deep connections with my clients and work with their care team or facility to provide the best service. I also use recording technology in my practice and know hundreds of songs in various styles.

My goal for Earthtones is to provide each client with comprehensive, complete and customized wellness plans, and to offer a wide range of holistic options. Each contractor is fully vetted: a member in good standing with their respective governing body and has completed background checks in order to protect the vulnerable populations we serve.
